Senate Chairman Yousuf Raza Gilani arrived in Phnom Penh on Monday on an official visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia.
Upon arrival, he was received at the airport by senior Cambodian parliamentary and government dignitaries.
As a gesture of courtesy, Ambassador Zaheeruddin Babar Thaheem and Nguon Sokeng boarded the aircraft to personally welcome the Chairman of the Senate and his delegation, according to a news release received here.
The Chairman of the Senate is accompanied by a parliamentary and advisory delegation comprising Senator Zarqa Suharwardy, Senator Abid Sher Ali, Senator Zamir Hussain Ghumro and Misbah Khar, Adviser to the Chairman of the Senate.
The warm reception accorded to the Chairman Senate reflects the cordial relations between Pakistan and Cambodia and the importance attached to parliamentary engagement between the two countries.
