Robert Pattinson has made a rare comment about his daughter, speaking openly about the joy of fatherhood and how his child has begun watching his films.
In an interview with GQ, the 39-year-old actor said his perspective on children changed completely after becoming a father.
Pattinson and his longtime partner, actress and singer Suki Waterhouse, welcomed their daughter in April 2024.
The Batman star admitted he was not fond of kids before fatherhood, saying he “wasn’t the biggest fan of kids” and would mostly tolerate them.
He said that outlook has shifted entirely over the past two years.
“Now I think it’s the most fun thing. I think it’s absolutely wonderful,” he said.
Pattinson also spoke about changes to his daily life, saying he now sleeps earlier and has become more disciplined with time management.
He said being away from his daughter for more than 10 days causes him physical discomfort.
He added that his daughter has already seen many of his and Waterhouse’s projects and is currently watching his 2025 sci-fi film Mickey 17 instead of children’s shows like Cocomelon.
However, Pattinson joked that she does not recognise him on screen.
“I’m not getting any respect,” he said, adding that when he points himself out in films, she responds with a blank stare.
