Three judges of the Islamabad High Court — Justice Muhammad Asif, Justice Muhammad Azam Khan, and Justice Inam Amin Minhas — took their oaths on Monday.
IHC Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar administered the oath to the judges who were recently confirmed after a meeting of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem.
The registrar also read out the notification regarding confirmation of the three judges.
The ceremony was attended by Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar, judges of the high court and district courts, and senior office-bearers of the Islamabad High Court Bar Association, including President Wajid Gilani and Secretary Manzoor Jajja.
Prior to their confirmation, the three judges had served as ad hoc judges for nearly a year.
Their confirmation was notified by the Ministry of Law after approval from the President of Pakistan.
