Pakistan U19 aim to bounce back against Scotland in ICC World Cup

Pakistan U19 will take on Scotland U19 in their second Group ‘C’ match of the ICC Men’s U19 Cricket World Cup at the Takashinga Sports Club in Harare today (Monday).

The match is scheduled to start at 12.30pm Pakistan Time.

Pakistan, who recently won the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup in Dubai and the tri-series in Zimbabwe, did not have the best of starts as they lost to England by 37 runs in their first group fixture on Friday.

For Pakistan, captain Farhan Yousaf scored 65, while Ahmed Hussain bagged three wickets.

On a head-to-head basis, Pakistan and Scotland have featured in three matches – all at the ICC U19 World Cup, with Pakistan emerging victorious on each occasion, according to a PCB statement.

The two sides last met during the ICC U19 World Cup 2020 in South Africa, where Pakistan defeated Scotland by seven wickets.

The Pakistan squad took part in a training session at Old Hararians, where they underwent fielding drills and net sessions under the coaching staff led by Shahid Anwar.
