25 flights affected as fog disrupts operations at Lahore airport

Adverse weather conditions and dense fog severely disrupted air operations at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport on Saturday, affecting both domestic and international flights.

A total of 25 flights were impacted, with three flights being cancelled, airport sources said.

The sources confirmed that long security clearance queues left dozens of passengers stranded, unable to board their flights.

According to reports, flights from a private airline and a foreign airline were cancelled due to the unstable weather.

Additionally, passengers on a PIA flight bound for Dammam were also offloaded from the aircraft.

The thick fog caused delays of 2 to 15 hours for flights coming from and going to cities such as Karachi, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Jeddah, Madina, Dubai, Riyadh, Istanbul, and Doha.

Several Umrah pilgrims on various flights also faced significant difficulties.

Airlines have advised their passengers to check flight details and arrive at the airport accordingly to avoid further inconvenience.
