Cold wave grips Pakistan as Skardu hits minus 13 degrees

Severe cold weather has gripped the country, leaving residents struggling as temperatures dropped sharply across multiple regions, with Skardu recording the coldest temperature at minus 13 degrees Celsius.

In Gilgit-Baltistan, Gupis recorded the temperature of minus 10 degrees, while the mercury in Hunza and Gilgit fell to minus 8 degrees Celsius.

In Balochistan, the mercury dropped to minus 6 degrees in Kalat, while Bagrote also recorded minus 6 degrees.

Dir saw temperatures fall to minus 5 degrees, while Quetta recorded minus 3 degrees Celsius.

In Punjab, Lahore recorded 5 degrees, while temperatures in Peshawar and Islamabad dropped to 1 degree Celsius.

Karachi also recorded single-digit temperatures, with the mercury recorded at 9 degrees Celsius.
