The Sindh government has begun preparations to install solar systems in schools across the province, with the education department issuing a formal notification.
The department has directed district officers to immediately provide data for the installation of solar systems and submit lists of schools requiring solar energy within three days.
The initiative aims to shift electricity-deprived schools in Sindh to solar power.
Officials have been instructed to complete the solarisation process on a priority basis, with relevant information to be shared with the energy department for further action.
