The funeral prayers of former Punjab chief minister Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo were offered in his native village, Wasawewala, Okara, on Wednesday.

Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider also attended the funeral prayers and prayed for the high status of the deceased.

The Punjab governor has said that the services of the deceased for the PPP will always be remembered.

The former chief minister was a dedicated politician, he added.

A large number of politicians, journalists, businessmen and people from different fields attend the funeral prayers.
