Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has reaffirmed the government’s determination to maintain peace and stability across the province.

Addressing a police gathering in Peshawar on Wednesday, Afridi said, “I assure you that the KP government is serious about restoring and preserving law and order. We stand like a rock in upholding peace in the province.”

He expressed grief over recent attacks, noting that police personnel and an assistant commissioner were martyred in yesterday’s tragic incident, and that another attack in Dera Ismail Khan today claimed more police lives.

Afridi added that similar sacrifices had been made previously in Bajaur, where an assistant commissioner and police personnel were killed.

He lauded the contributions of the army, Frontier Corps, police, Counter Terrorism Department, and intelligence agencies in safeguarding the province.
