Saim Ayub becomes number one T20 all-rounder

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday issued updated rankings for Test, One-Day International and T20 formats, with Pakistan’s Saim Ayub rising to the top spot among T20 all-rounders.

In the Test batting rankings, England’s Joe Root retained his number one position, while Australia’s Travis Head climbed one place to fifth.

Sri Lanka’s Kamindu Mendis also moved up one spot to sixth, and Pakistan’s Saud Shakeel remained at 11th.

Among Test bowlers, India’s Jasprit Bumrah held on to the top ranking. South Africa’s Marco Jansen jumped five places to fifth.

Pakistan’s Nauman Ali stayed in third place, while South Africa’s Simon Harmer made a significant leap of 13 spots to sit at 11th.

In the Test all-rounder category, India’s Ravindra Jadeja maintained the top ranking, followed by Marco Jansen, who moved up four places to second.

South Africa’s Senuran Muthusamy climbed 14 spots to 20th.

In the ICC T20 batting rankings, India’s Abhishek Sharma remained at number one, while England’s Jos Buttler moved up one place to fourth.

India’s Tilak Varma improved by one spot to fifth. Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan slipped two places to sixth.

Sri Lanka’s Kamindu Mendis surged 91 places to 18th, while Pakistan’s Babar Azam dropped one place to 30th.

Saim Ayub rose two spots to reach 35th, and Salman Ali Agha climbed 11 places to 52nd.

India’s Varun Chakravarthy topped the T20 bowling rankings.

Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed improved by four spots to reach fourth place.

Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman moved up two places to eighth, while Pakistan’s Mohammad Nawaz also climbed two spots to 11th.

Pakistan’s Salman Mirza improved to 34th, and Saim Ayub jumped 12 spots to 39th.

In the T20 all-rounder rankings, Pakistan’s Saim Ayub secured the number one position, displacing Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza, who slipped to second.

Pakistan’s Mohammad Nawaz rose three places to fourth, while India’s Axar Patel moved up one spot to 10th.

In the ICC ODI batting rankings, India’s Rohit Sharma retained the top spot, with Virat Kohli climbing one place to fourth.

Pakistan’s Babar Azam stayed at number six. India’s KL Rahul improved two places to 14th, while South Africa’s Quinton de Kock dropped three positions to 16th.

Pakistan’s Fakhar Zaman moved up one spot to 25th, and South Africa’s Matthew Breetzke jumped 17 places to 31st.

In the ODI bowling rankings, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan remained number one, while India’s Kuldeep Yadav gained one spot to reach sixth.

In the ODI all-rounder list, Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai held on to the top ranking, while South Africa’s Marco Jansen jumped 15 places to 20th.
