Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar met Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), at General Headquarters on Tuesday, with both sides agreeing to expand cooperation in the energy sector, the military’s media wing said.
The meeting also reviewed Pakistan–Turkiye relations, regional developments, and opportunities for deeper strategic collaboration.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the two sides discussed new avenues for joint projects and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.
They also agreed to maintain close coordination to advance shared objectives, including stability and sustainable development in the region.
Field Marshal Munir praised the longstanding and brotherly ties between Pakistan and Turkiye, calling them historic and deeply rooted.
He thanked Ankara for its consistent support of Pakistan at international forums.
Minister Bayraktar said Turkiye wanted to deepen cooperation across multiple fields, particularly energy.
He also acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts for regional peace, stability, and sustainable growth.
Both countries reiterated their resolve to broaden cooperation and advance their strategic partnership.
