Pakistan beats Sri Lanka to win Tri-Nation T20 series

Pakistan clinched the Tri-Nation T20 series with a convincing victory over Sri Lanka in the final on Sunday.

Batting first, Sri Lanka managed 114 runs, losing eight wickets for just 16 runs at one stage.

Only Dilshan Mishra stood out, scoring 59 runs off 47 balls, while the rest of the lineup failed to reach double figures.

Chasing a modest target, Pakistan achieved victory in the 19th over.

Babar Azam contributed 37 runs, and Saim Ayub added 36, guiding the team to a comfortable win.

Pakistan’s bowlers dominated, with Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Nawaz taking three wickets each. Afridi returned to the playing XI for the final, replacing Wasim Junior, while Sri Lanka fielded the same team as in previous matches.

During the league stage of the series, Pakistan topped the table, winning the majority of matches, though Sri Lanka had secured two wins, including a narrow six-run victory over Pakistan in the final league match.
