Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, visited Air Headquarters in Islamabad on Tuesday, where he was received by Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force.
A smartly turned-out contingent of the PAF presented General Sahir with a Guard of Honour.
During the visit, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu commended the CJCSC’s exemplary services and pivotal role in enhancing tri-services synergy.
He highlighted General Sahir’s contributions to national defence and reaffirmed the PAF’s commitment to close cooperation with sister services in counter-terrorism operations.
General Sahir expressed satisfaction with the combat readiness of the Pakistan Air Force and praised the progress achieved through its modernisation and up-gradation initiatives.
He acknowledged the professionalism and dedication of PAF personnel in safeguarding Pakistan’s aerial frontiers and acknowledged the vital role of the Service in the national fight against terrorism.
He also appreciated the seamless coordination among the tri-services and expressed confidence that this cooperation would continue to flourish in the years ahead.
