A case has been registered at the CTD police station over the terrorist attack on the Federal Constabulary headquarters in Peshawar, with terrorism provisions included in the FIR filed on the complaint of local SHO Abdullah Jalal.
The FIR states that the attackers harmed the country’s security and damaged government property.
According to the report, three terrorists assaulted the FC headquarters. One attacker detonated himself at the gate, while two others entered the premises while firing.
Police said more than 27 shell casings were recovered from the scene. The suicide attack left three personnel martyred and 11 injured.
The alert was raised to minimise risks in the wake of the Peshawar incident, where FC personnel foiled an attack on their headquarters earlier on Monday.
A suicide bomber targeted the main gate, but FC forces killed two militants in a swift response.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has decried the deadly suicide attack in Peshawar on Monday in which three Federal Constabulary (FC) men were martyred.
“We obviously condemn this attack,” the UN Chief’s Spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said in response to a question at the regular noon briefing at UN Headquarters in New York.
The terrorist attack took place at the FC headquarters located on the busy Saddar Road in Peshawar.
