Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore has assigned portfolios to his 20-member cabinet, while retaining several key ministries under his direct control.
According to the official notification, the prime minister kept the Information, Electricity, Planning & Development, Interior, and Services & General Administration Department (S&GAD) portfolios.
Senior-most minister Mian Abdul Waheed was given the Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs ministry.
The cabinet’s only woman member, Nabeela Ayub, was assigned the Kashmir Cause, Arts and Languages portfolio.
Sardar Javed Ayub received the Forests, Wildlife, Fisheries and Muzaffarabad Development Authority departments. Chaudhry Qasim Majeed was allotted Finance and Inland Revenue, while Syed Bazil Ali Naqvi was given Public Health and Population Welfare.
Dewan Ali Chughtai was assigned Elementary and Secondary Education, and Javed Iqbal Budhanvi was given the Food department. Sardar Zia-ul-Qamar received the Communication and Public Works portfolio.
Chaudhry Arshad Hussain was allotted Energy and Water Resources, and Zafar Iqbal Malik retained Higher Education.
Sardar Muhammad Hussain Khan was given Auqaf, Social Welfare, Zakat, Ushr and Women Development. Chaudhry Ali Shan Soni was assigned Agriculture, Livestock, Irrigation, Dairy Development and Small Dams.
Chaudhry Muhammad Akhlaq received Revenue, Stamps and Custodian departments, while Aamir Yasin was given Local Government and Rural Development. Chaudhry Yasir Sultan was allotted Physical Planning and Housing.
Chaudhry Muhammad Rashid was handed the Power Development Organisation, whereas Muhammad Rafiq Nair was given Religious Affairs and Auqaf. Faheem Akhtar Rabbani received Tourism and Archaeology.
Meanwhile, two advisers were also appointed. Sardar Ahmed Sagheer Chughtai was named Adviser on Sports, Youth and Culture, while Sardar Fahad Yaqoob was appointed Adviser for Industries, Commerce, Labour, Weights & Measures, Sericulture and Printing Press.
