Batting first after Sri Lanka opted to field, Zimbabwe posted 162 for 8 in their 20 overs.
Brian Bennett top-scored with a brisk 49, while Sikandar Raza hit 47 to anchor the innings.
Ryan Burl added 18 and Brendan Taylor made 11.
For Sri Lanka, Wanindu Hasaranga claimed three wickets, while Eshan Madushanka picked up two. Dushmantha Chameera and Maheesh Theekshana took one wicket each.
In reply, Sri Lanka’s batting collapsed under disciplined Zimbabwean bowling.
The entire side folded for just 95 on the final ball of the innings, with nine batters failing to reach double figures.
Captain Dasun Shanaka fought a lone battle with 34, while Bhanuka Rajapaksa made 11.
Brad Evans led Zimbabwe’s bowling with three wickets, Richard Ngarava took two, and Sikandar Raza and Graeme Cremer chipped in with one apiece.
