In an incident, two personnel from Rescue 1122, Salahuddin and Rooh ul amin, lost their lives while conducting rescue operations in a coal mine in Kohat.

The duo had descended hundreds of feet into the mine to save a trapped laborer when the mine became flooded.

Tragically, the rescue team later recovered the bodies of the laborer along with three others from the site.
