Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi met with the Italian Ambassador to Pakistan to discuss judicial cooperation between the two countries.
According to a Supreme Court statement, the meeting focused on enhancing legal collaboration, with discussions on similarities between the judicial systems of Pakistan and Italy.
Both sides also explored judicial exchanges and training programs to strengthen bilateral legal ties.
During the meeting, Chief Justice Yahya Afridi announced the establishment of a ‘Commercial Litigation Corridor’, aimed at ensuring swift resolution of trade disputes to boost economic activity.

He emphasised that the Pakistani judiciary plays a crucial role in interpreting the Constitution, ensuring transparency, and fostering public trust in the legal system.
