Gold prices have surged, setting new records in both Pakistan and international markets.

The price of gold in Pakistan has risen by Rs2,500 per tola, marking a historic milestone as it reaches Rs304,000 for the first time in the country’s history.

The rate for 24-carat gold increased by Rs2,144, bringing the price to Rs260,631 for 10-gram, the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association added.

Meanwhile, 22-carat gold saw a rise of Rs1,965, priced at Rs238,920 for 10 grams.

The silver price has seen an increase of Rs47, costing Rs2,886.

The global market also reflected a rise in gold prices, with the price per ounce climbing by $25 to $2,913.

The silver prices rose by $0.55 per ounce, reaching $32.55 in international market.
