NBC has released the first trailer for its “Suits” spinoff, “Suits LA,” offering a glimpse into the high-stakes world of West Coast law and hinting at a surprise appearance by a familiar face.
The trailer centers around Stephen Amell’s character, Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor navigating the cutthroat legal landscape of Los Angeles. The fast-paced footage showcases the show’s signature blend of courtroom drama and personal intrigue, with scenes depicting office clashes, physical altercations, and even a possible bribe.
A key moment features a photo of Gabriel Macht’s Harvey Specter, suggesting a return for the beloved character from the original series. Macht himself previously teased his involvement on Instagram, hinting at rectifying past “things.”
The series also stars Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis, Bryan Greenberg, Victoria Justice, and Troy Winbush. “Suits LA” is created by Aaron Korsh and executive produced by a team including David Bartis, Doug Liman, and Gene Klein. Victoria Mahoney directed the pilot.
While the trailer maintains the stylistic feel of the original “Suits,” it emphasizes the unique challenges and dynamics of the Los Angeles legal scene. Amell’s Ted Black is portrayed as a lawyer adapting to a new environment where the rules of engagement are significantly different.
The show premieres on NBC on February 23, 2025.
