Cool winds gripped Karachi on Saturday after rain and snowfall in Quetta, Balochistan. The weather pattern was a result of a westerly wave, according to the Met Office.
Light rain was reported in Quetta, accompanied by snowfall in the mountains, leading to a drop in temperatures.
Areas such as Chaman, Dera Koshak, Qilla Abdullah, Ziarat, Muslim Bagh, and Pishin have also experienced rainfall, with cotton-like flakes falling from the sky.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rainfall in the province over the next two days and warned of flash flooding in several parts.
“Areas at risk include Chaghi, Nokundi, Kharan, Pishin, Qilla Abdullah, and Quetta,” the Met Office said in its update.
