CCTV footage suggests intruder ‘may have hidden’ in Saif Ali Khan’s home before attack

CCTV footage from Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan’s residence in Bandra has shown no signs of an intruder entering the property in the two hours leading up to the attack, indicating that the assailant may have entered earlier and concealed themselves, Indian media reported.

The assault reportedly took place around 2:30am, with police claiming that no one was seen entering the home after midnight. This has raised suspicions that the intrusion could have been an inside job, as the intruder likely hid within the residence prior to the incident.

Mumbai police had analysed footage to identify the attacker, who fled the scene after stabbing the 54-year-old actor “six times” during a confrontation.

This high-profile incident in Bandra, an area known for its celebrity residents, poses a significant challenge for law enforcement.

In their statement, the police reported, “An unidentified person intruded into the residence of Actor Saif Ali Khan. The actor and the intruder had a scuffle. The actor is injured and is receiving treatment. An investigation is ongoing.”
