Former British-Australian basketball player Liz Cambage’s transition from the Women’s National Basketball Association to OnlyFans has turned out to be a big commercial success for her.
Cambage ended her basketball career in 2022 following a mutual decision to part ways with the Los Angeles Sparks. After signing a one-year contract worth $170,000 in February 2022, Cambage opted to pursue new opportunities.
The 33-year-old model soon turned her attention to the social media platform, where she discovered significant financial success, reportedly earning more in her first week on the platform than throughout her entire professional basketball career.
Cambage’s decision to join OnlyFans was driven not only by the potential for financial gain but also by a desire to showcase a different facet of her identity.
“Basketball was a part of me, but it wasn’t all of me,” she said in a statement. According to her, the platform has allowed her to share fashion-forward, artistic, and suggestive content that reflects her passion for modelling and creativity.
Several content creators and adult film stars have generated huge amounts of money from the London based internet content subscription service.

Cambage’s newfound success on OnlyFans has reignited discussions about pay disparities in professional sports, particularly when contrasting her WNBA earnings with those of NBA players. In her highest-paying season, the former sports player earned $221,450, underscoring the significant pay gap that exists.
After her switch to the new field, she reportedly made over $1.5 million annually through her career on OnlyFans, and she is dedicated to expanding her personal brand. “I’m not closing any doors, but right now, I’m focusing on building something new,” she stated.
