The Sindh Interior Ministry has officially requested the federal government to issue international red warrants for Wasiullah Lakho, a prominent commander of the Lyari gang war.
The ministry has requested Interpol to issue a red notice for his arrest.
This move came in response to growing concerns about Lakho’s alleged involvement in running a terrorism network from abroad.
Officials report that Lakho faced numerous serious charges, including terrorism, extortion, and murder, with multiple cases registered against him.
The decision to pursue these warrants was made following a recommendation from SSP City Arif Aziz, based on communications from the Inspector General of Sindh to the provincial government.
Authorities have shown that Lakho continues to give orders to his associates while operating from outside the country.
