A delegation from the International Cricket Council (ICC) has arrived in Karachi to assess the preparations at the National Stadium for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025.
The team is set to evaluate the ongoing construction work, including a thorough inspection of a new five-story building under development.
The Champions Trophy is scheduled to kick off on February 19, with the opening ceremony and the first match between Pakistan and New Zealand taking place on the same day.
The National Stadium will host three matches during the tournament.
Prior to the Champions Trophy, the stadium will also host two matches of the Tri-Nation One Day International Series, with Pakistan facing South Africa on February 12 and the final match on February 14.
This inspection marks the ICC’s second visit, following an initial assessment led by Security Head David Massker.

The current team includes Senior Manager of Event Operations Sarah Edgar and Manager Aun Zaidi, who are reviewing the arrangements as the countdown to the prestigious tournament begins.
Teams must finalize their preliminary squads by midnight on February 11, ahead of the tournament’s official start.
