How to apply for a new UAE visa online in just four steps

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) has streamlined the process for applying for a UAE visa, allowing individuals to submit applications for family members or friends entirely online.

To obtain an ‘entry permit,’ which can be valid for 30, 60, or 90 days, applicants can follow these simple steps:

  1. Download the UAEICP App: Available for Apple, Android, and Huawei devices, users need to log in using their UAE Pass. Alternatively, applications can be submitted through the official ICP website at smartservices.icp.gov.ae.

  2. Select the New Visa Service: Choose the ‘Issuance of an Entry Permit (New Visa)’ option, then specify whether the visa is for a relative or friend, and select between a single-entry or multiple-entry visa.

  3. Confirm Your Information: Enter your personal details if applying for the first time, or confirm existing data if you are a registered user.

Updates to contact information can also be made at this stage.

  1. Make the Payment: Complete the application by paying the fee, which varies based on the visa duration.

The application will be reviewed by the ICP, with a processing time of up to 48 hours.

Residents from Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, and Umm Al Quwain can utilize this online service. Dubai residents can also apply via the DubaiNow app.
