Talks between PTI and govt to begin today

Talks between the Pakistan government and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party are scheduled for today, Monday. National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq will chair the in-camera meeting at 11:30 AM.

Members of the government and PTI committees have been notified of the meeting’s time and place.

Significant progress has been reported in negotiations between the government and the opposition. The Speaker summoned members of both the government and PTI committees for a meeting today.

The Secretariat has issued a formal notification. Sources indicate that Sadiq called the committee members for this meeting.

The in-camera meeting will be chaired by the Speaker and will take place in Committee Room Number Five of the Parliament House. Members of both the government and opposition committees have been informed via formal notice.

The committee includes prominent figures from both sides: from the government, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Rana Sanaullah, and Senator Irfan Siddiqui; Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Syed Naveed Qamar, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Abdul Aleem Khan, and Chaudhry Salik Hussain.
