Indian actors, Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer movie, Pushpa 2 has reached a remarkable milestone, grossing 100 billion Indian rupees globally.
Directed by Sukumar, this action-drama film has now become the fastest Indian film to join the ‘elite club,’ a distinction achieved by only a handful of films so far.
The excitement surrounding the sequel to the 2021 hit Pushpa: The Rise remained strong even on its seventh day of release. Despite it being a Wednesday, Pushpa 2 earned 42 crore Indian rupees at the Indian box office.
As reported by industry tracker Sacnilk, there was an 18.53% decline in earnings compared to the previous day; however, the film still managed to secure 42 crore Indian rupees in the middle of the week.
Breaking down the regional earnings on Day 6, Pushpa 2 collected 9 crore Indian rupees in Telugu, 2 crore Indian rupees in Tamil, 60 lakh Indian rupees in Kannada, and 40 lakh Indian rupees in Malayalam. The Hindi version performed well too, bringing in 30 crore Indian rupees.
Following its first weekdays, Pushpa 2, which had an impressive 141.05 crore Indian rupees earning on its first Sunday, saw a significant drop in earnings. Monday’s earnings plummeted by 54.31%, followed by a 20.02% decline on Tuesday, and an 18.53% drop on Wednesday.
By the end of Day 7, the film’s total collection in India was approximately ₹687 crore net. This included 232.75 crore Indian rupees from Telugu, 398.1 crore Indian rupees from Hindi, 39 crore Indian rupees from Tamil, 5.05 crore Indian rupees from Kannada, and 12.1 crore Indian rupees from Malayalam.
