A young man’s thumb was gruesomely severed after he was murdered by his cousin, who then used it to access his bank account and steal money from an ATM in Sheikhupura District, Punjab.
According to a police spokesperson, a team from the Housing Colony Police Station found the victim’s body wrapped in a sack while inspecting a suspicious vehicle. Following this discovery, police initiated an investigation, employing modern technology and human intelligence to identify the suspects.
The investigation revealed that the accused, motivated by greed, lured his cousin, Yasin, from Faisalabad to Sheikhupura, where he and his accomplices killed him. Yasin was shot, and his thumb was severed during the incident.
After the murder, the suspects retained the severed thumb to withdraw any remaining funds from Yasin’s account. Authorities noted that Yasin’s body was placed in the trunk of a car with the intent to dispose of it in a canal. Yasin was the only son of his parents.
