Army chief lauded Gandapur’s efforts on national security and economic issues, report claims

During a recent meeting of the Apex Committee, Army Chief General Asim Munir expressed appreciation for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s collaboration on important national matters.

This acknowledgment came during a session chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

According to Geo News, the meeting confirmed that General Munir valued Gandapur’s support regarding security issues and discussions related to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Additionally, Gandapur raised concerns about the treatment of Imran Khan and other Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, advocating for Khan’s release from jail.

Gandapur highlighted perceived injustices, pointing out that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, despite his conviction, was permitted to travel abroad for medical treatment while in custody.
