A police officer was injured in a bomb blast near a police vehicle on the Western Bypass in Quetta on Friday.
The explosion occurred near a police patrol car in the Burori area.
Rescue teams immediately responded to the scene following the blast. Police officials stated that a hand grenade was thrown at the vehicle, resulting in injuries to one officer, who was subsequently transported to a hospital for medical treatment.
The police vehicle sustained minor damage. Security forces and a bomb disposal squad are currently at the scene conducting investigations. The extent of the officer’s injuries is currently unknown. Further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
