Christopher Nolan is assembling an impressive cast for his next film at Universal, with Anne Hathaway and Zendaya confirmed to star alongside Matt Damon and Tom Holland, who were previously announced.
Set for an IMAX release on July 17, 2026, this film aligns with Nolan’s history of blockbuster launches, Deadline reported.
While filming is anticipated to begin in early 2025, details about the plot remain tightly guarded, with the news outlet reporting that previously released descriptions are “inaccurate.” Universal has yet to comment on the latest casting news.
Top-tier talent is eager to collaborate with Nolan and the latest addition is Zendaya, marking her first project with the acclaimed director. Hathaway, on the other hand, is no stranger to Nolan’s films, having previously starred in The Dark Knight Rises (2012) and Interstellar (2014), making this her third collaboration.
The Intern actor has been busy in 2024, featuring in the thriller Mother’s Instinct alongside Jessica Chastain and the Amazon film The Idea of You. She’s also set to star in Warner Bros’ upcoming Flowervale Station.
Zendaya kicked off her year with a bang, starring in Dune: Part Two, which raked in over $700 million at the global box office. She quickly followed that success with her role in the tennis drama Challengers at Amazon MGM Studios.
