The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast cold and dry weather conditions across much of the country. Mountainous regions are experiencing significantly colder temperatures.
Skardu, Astor, Hunza, and Neelum Valley have reported snowfall, pushing temperatures below freezing. Murree and Galiyat are also experiencing colder temperatures due to strong winds and snowfall.
Islamabad’s weather has changed dramatically following recent rainfall, clearing the smog and revealing sunny skies. The PMD predicts dry conditions for Islamabad and surrounding areas, with cool mornings and evenings.
Punjab is expected to experience dry weather in most districts, however, significant smog and dense fog are anticipated in Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Sialkot, Hafizabad, Toba Tek Singh, and Jhang. Similar conditions are predicted for Narowal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Sheikhupura, and Sahiwal.
Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Multan, Lia, Bhakkar, Khanewal, and Khanpur are also expected to experience smog and dense fog, particularly in the mornings and evenings. Similar conditions are forecast for Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, and surrounding areas.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan are expected to experience dry weather, with cold mornings and evenings in mountainous areas. Sindh is also expected to have predominantly dry weather.
