A significant increase in cold weather has swept across Pakistan’s northern regions following heavy snowfall and rainfall.
The popular tourist destination of Kalam Valley in Swat has experienced substantial snowfall, attracting a large number of visitors. In Astor, the lower areas saw rainfall while higher elevations received snowfall.
Over three days, Deosai, Barzil Top, and Rama Meadows have accumulated more than a foot of snow, cutting off land access to these areas. The Neelum Valley, including Jagran Valley, is blanketed in snow after heavy rainfall in lower areas and snowfall in the higher regions.
Road conditions are hazardous due to ice and snow, impacting traffic flow on the Neelum Highway and other connecting roads. Public transport to Leepa Valley from Hatian Bala has been temporarily suspended due to snowfall.

In contrast to the northern chill, Quetta is experiencing cold, dry weather, while Karachi has seen a slight decrease in temperature, leading to cooler nights.
