A ninth-grade student was sexually assaulted in the Sikandarabad area of Shujabad.

According to the First Information Report (FIR), a man named Tahir abducted the girl at gunpoint to a deserted area and assaulted her. Locals responded to her cries, causing the assailant to flee.

The victim was taken to a civil hospital in critical condition; a preliminary medical report confirms sexual assault.

A case has been registered against Tahir, and police are conducting further investigations and carrying out raids to apprehend him.
