Legendary former ICC umpire Aleem Dar is poised to be included in the upcoming selection committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Dar, who recently retired from professional umpiring after the Champions One Day Cup 2024, is recognized for his extensive contributions to cricket over nearly two decades.
According to ARY News, sources indicate that the PCB aims to incorporate esteemed former players into the new selection panel, with Dar’s inclusion being a notable addition.
Former cricketers Aaqib Javed and Azhar Ali are also expected to join the committee.
Asad Shafiq will continue his role as a selector in collaboration with the head coach.
