PMD makes rain prediction for Karachi

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted that there can be possibility of rain in Karachi today, although the weather is expected to stay hot and dry over the next 24 hours.

Karachi is currently enjoying clear skies and intense sunshine, but concerns about hazardous air quality will persist.

Temperatures are predicted to reach a high of 38 to 40 degrees Celsius, with a minimum recorded temperature of 25.5 degrees Celsius. Northeast winds are blowing at a speed of 7 kilometers per hour, with humidity levels at 54%.

In terms of air quality, Karachi has been classified as having unhealthy levels, ranking as the eleventh most polluted city globally, according to the Air Quality Index (AQI). The AQI indicates a concentration of 129 particulate matter in the air.
