An explosion in the Sabakzai area of Zhob, Balochistan, resulted in at least one fatality and injuries to 10 others, police reported on Wednesday.
The injured individuals were being transported to a hospital while authorities worked to determine the cause of the explosion.
This incident occurs amid ongoing security challenges in the region, which has been a focal point in the fight against terrorism, alongside Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The explosion follows a recent incident where unidentified gunmen opened fire on the vehicle of Deputy Commissioner Sherani Sana Mahjabeen in the Tang Gwal Haiderzai area of Killa Saifullah district. The attackers managed to escape due to the return fire from the deputy commissioner’s security detail, and there were no reported injuries in that event.
