The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has claimed to have killed the head of Hezbollah’s logistics unit, Suhail Hussein Husseini following airstrikes in Beirut.
The IDF reported that the operation took place on October 7, targeting a compound in the area and resulting in Husseini’s death. Hezbollah has not yet responded to the claims.
In a post on X, the IDF stated, “The IDF killed Suhail Hussein Husseini, the head of Hezbollah’s logistics unit. Under the precise direction of the Intelligence Division, Air Force fighter jets struck the Beirut area, leading to his death.”
There was no immediate comment from Hezbollah.
Earlier, on October 3, the IDF announced the killing of three senior Hamas leaders, including Rawhi Mushtaha, the head of the Gaza government, during a strike on an underground compound in northern Gaza. Alongside Mushtaha, commanders Sameh Siraj and Sameh Oudeh were also reported killed.
