The federal government has officially declared the value of Diyat for the financial year 2024-2025 to be Rs8,103,955, corresponding to 30,630 grams of silver.
This announcement was made through a notification issued by the Finance Division, by sub-section (2) of Section 323 of the Pakistan Penal Code (Act XLV of 1860).
A copy of this notification has been sent to the Secretary of the Law and Justice Division in Islamabad, who is requesting to disseminate it to all courts and bar associations.
The diyat value for fiscal year 2022-23 was Rs4,318,524, valued at 30,630 grams of silver.
