Dr Zakir Naik lands in Pakistan

Renowned Islamic preacher Dr. Zakir Naik arrived in Islamabad on a 15-day tour on Monday.

Dr Naik landed at Islamabad International Airport early on Monday and was welcomed by officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs including Syed Dr Atta ur Rehman.

Rana Mashood and Parliamentary Secretary Religous Affairs Shamsher Ali Mazari were also present at the airport to welcome Dr Naik.

The tour, which kicks off on October 5 in Karachi and concludes in Islamabad on October 20, will see Dr. Naik deliver lectures in three major cities: Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.

The tour’s first stop will be in Karachi, where Dr. Naik will address the fundamental question of “the purpose of our life” at Bagh-e-Quaid, located opposite the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The following day, Dr. Fariq Naik will delve into the importance of understanding the Quran, delivering a lecture titled “Kya Quran ko Samajh kar Parhna Zaroori Hai” (Is it necessary to understand the Quran while reading?).

While the dates for the Lahore (October 12th and 13th) and Islamabad (October 19th and 20th) lectures have been announced, the specific topics and venues for these events remain under wraps, adding to the anticipation surrounding the tour.

Dr. Naik’s return to Pakistan comes after a period of self-imposed exile following controversies in India. He currently resides in Malaysia, where he continues to deliver lectures and engage with audiences globally.

His son, Dr. Fariq Naik, also an Islamic scholar, will join him on the tour, delivering lectures in all three cities. The father-son duo will share their insights on various Islamic topics, engaging with audiences and fostering dialogue.
