Thousands of Lebanese fled the country’s southern region, amid Israeli bombardment, which killed at least 274 people and injured over 700 people on Monday.
The Lebanese Red Cross has announced that its teams are actively engaged in recovery and rescue operations following Israeli airstrikes in various regions of Lebanon.
“The Lebanese Red Cross has mobilised all ambulance stations across Lebanon to assist with the rising number of casualties in the South,” the organisation said in a social media post.
The escalation of violence raises concerns about the potential for a full-scale war between Israel and Hezbollah, as well as broader regional conflict. Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health stated that among the casualties were children, women, and medical personnel.
