Seven people were rescued from the Neelum River after a dilapidated section of a hotel in Sharda collapsed into the water.
According to officials, the incident occurred when a portion of the wooden hotel structure, located on the riverbank, gave way under the weight of a large crowd.
Motorboats present at the scene were able to rescue all seven individuals from the strong currents of the Neelum River.
All seven individuals were subsequently rescued and transported to a local hospital.
Police have reported that the hotel was constructed primarily of wood and that the incident was likely caused by overcrowding.
