Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward climb on Monday, mirroring the international market’s surge. The local market saw a significant jump of Rs1,700 per tola, pushing the price to a record high of Rs268,000.
Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold also rose by Rs1,458, reaching Rs229,767, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
This latest surge follows a Rs400 increase on Saturday, when gold prices first reached a record high of Rs266,300 per tola.
The international gold rate also experienced a significant increase on Monday, reaching $2,587 per ounce (with a premium of $20), a gain of $10 for the day.
In contrast, silver prices remained stable at Rs2,950 per tola.
The continued rise in gold prices in Pakistan is attributed to the ongoing global economic uncertainty and inflationary pressures.
