Bollywood actor Imran Khan, who has not appeared on screen for several years, is reportedly making a comeback with a romantic comedy for Netflix.
This project will be produced by his uncle, the renowned Indian actor Aamir Khan, through his production company, Aamir Khan Productions.
In a recent interview with India Today Digital, Khan discussed his time away from filmmaking, acknowledging that his return has been a gradual process.
“I don’t have a clear answer to that. It’s not for lack of trying,” Khan said.
“I’m having conversations with writers, directors, and producers, trying to find something that really sparks.”
“I guess at this point, two stories have kind of resonated with me, which I’m developing with the directors, but they’re not close to a full project yet. So, I don’t have a proper film that I have signed or a show that I have signed that I’m committed to yet,” he added.
Khan also mentioned that he is exploring two other stories that he feels connected to, although they are still in the initial development phase.
The details about the release date and additional information regarding the Netflix film have not been revealed yet.
Khan last appeared in the 2015 film Katti Batti with Kangana Ranaut, took a hiatus from acting to prioritize personal issues and address mental health challenges.
