The Sir Syed Express train experienced an accident near Rohri Station, derailing four of its carriages as no casualties were reported.
According to railway officials, the train traveling from Karachi to Punjab encountered the incident in Sukkur. The accident occurred 1.5 kilometers before reaching Rohri Railway Station, leading to the suspension of train services on the uptrack.
The train was entering the platform at a reduced speed, which helped prevent a more severe accident.
Officials stated that the Sir Syed Express was en route from Karachi to Rawalpindi, and a rescue operation has been initiated to restore the affected track as quickly as possible.
