England would be looking for another series whitewash in Pakistan this year, as eight players from the squad return to the host country following the 3-0 Test series victory in 2022.
They are Rehan Ahmed, Harry Brook, Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Jack Leach, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, and Ben Stokes.
In December 2020, England beat Pakistan by eight wickets in the third and final Test in Karachi to sweep the series 3-0 and hand the Pakistanis their first home whitewash.
The England squad for the upcoming tour of Pakistan features two uncapped players: Durham seamer Brydon Carse and Essex batter Jordan Cox.
Somerset spinner Jack Leach makes his return to the Test setup for the first time since the opening Test in India in January 2024. Meanwhile, Leicestershire leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed, who debuted in Karachi during the last tour in December 2022, aims to add to his four Test caps.
Leicestershire seamer Josh Hull, who made his Test debut at the Kia Oval this week, has been included for his first senior tour with England. Kent opener Zak Crawley is also back in the squad after missing the West Indies series in July due to a fractured right little finger, but he is showing significant recovery progress.
Captain Ben Stokes remains in the squad as he continues to recover from a hamstring tear that sidelined him during the recent Test series against Sri Lanka.
The venues for the three-match series have yet to be announced, with the Pakistan Cricket Board expected to provide details later this week.
