A schoolgirl in Karnataka dramatically lifted an overturned auto-rickshaw to rescue her mother and another passenger, with the event captured on CCTV.
The incident occurred in Kinnigoli, near Mangalore when 35-year-old Chetana was hit by the vehicle while crossing the road to pick up her daughter from a tuition center.
The auto-rickshaw overturned after the driver lost control, trapping Chetana underneath.
Witnessing the accident, her daughter rushed over and managed to lift the vehicle, enabling the rescue of her mother and another passenger.
Chetana sustained severe injuries and was taken to the hospital, while the driver and the other passenger suffered minor injuries.
The footage of the rescue has garnered widespread admiration for the girl’s courage.
