KP govt resources being freely used for PTI rally

Provincial government resources in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally in Islamabad.

Dozens of Rescue 1122 operational vehicles have been dispatched to Swabi, including ambulances, fire vehicles, cranes, excavators, and disaster vehicles to potentially clear any blocked roads.

Rescue 1122 has issued strict instructions to each district to send two vehicles. Dozens of Rescue personnel have been instructed to travel to Islamabad with the vehicles.

Ambulances have also been directed to accompany convoys of National and Provincial Assembly members arriving from northern and southern districts.

Two ambulances will be stationed ahead and behind each convoy. The convoys will be led by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.

A reception camp has been set up at the Swabi Interchange for convoys traveling to the Islamabad rally. Government machinery from various districts has been deployed at the reception camp.

Rescue 1122 ambulances have been covered with white stickers, and four TMA officials and heavy machinery from Swabi are also present at the site.

The deployment of government resources, including emergency services, for a political rally has raised questions about their appropriate use and the potential for misuse.
