Gold prices in Pakistan rebounded on Wednesday, climbing in tandem with a rise in international rates. After two consecutive sessions of decline, the precious metal saw a significant increase in the local market.
The price of gold per tola surged by Rs2,000, reaching Rs262,100. This followed an increase of Rs1,714 in the price of 10-gram gold, which was sold at Rs224,708, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The international gold rate also witnessed a surge on Wednesday, hitting $2,503 per ounce with a premium of $20. This represents a $22 increase from the previous day.
In contrast, silver prices remained steady at Rs2,900 per tola.
It is worth noting that gold prices in Pakistan reached an all-time high of Rs263,700 per tola last month.
